‘Fatima’ represents a test for a different kind of faith-based movie
(CNN)Every so often a faith-based movie breaks out and makes a lot of money, illustrating the demand for such films, even though most of them aren’t very good. “Fatima” represents a more polished cinematic contemplation of religion, focusing on a century-old event that encompasses World War I and possesses a sobering connection to the Spanish Flu.
The jeweller shares her broad and beautiful sources of inspiration.
Dwellings and buildings have always been a source of inspiration, from mud huts to igloos to the traditional turf houses of Iceland. My pieces are quite bold structures that stand alone like buildings, rather than being designed to be at one with the body. They use the body as a foundation then build up from there.

Nelson Mandela: “After I became president, I asked some members of my close protection to stroll with me in the city and have lunch at one of its restaurants. We sat in one of the downtown restaurants and all of us asked for some sort of food.”
“After a while, the waiter brought us our requests and I noticed that there was someone sitting in front of my table waiting for food”.
I then told one of the soldiers: go and ask that person to join us with his food and eat with us. The soldier went and asked the man so. The man brought up his food and sat by my side and began to eat. His hands were trembling constantly until everyone had finished their food and the man went. The soldier said to me: The man was apparently quite sick. His hands trembled as he ate!”
“No, not at all,” said Mandela.
“This man was the guard of the prison where I was jailed.
“Often, after the torture I was subjected to, I used to scream and ask for a little water.
“The very same man used to come every time and urinate on my head instead”.
“So I found him scared, trembling, expecting me to reciprocate now, at least in the same way, either by torturing him or imprisoning him as I am now the president of the state of South Africa.”
“But this is not my character nor part of my ethics”.
“The mentality of retaliation destroys states, while the mentality of tolerance builds nations”.
I say, treat others well because no one knows tomorrow.

Interpretation :: As we can see above, we need to treat others no matter what they could have done to us. If one doesn’t do this, the cycle of hate and violence continues.

I am certain that my recovery was possible not just because of the techniques that I used, most of which was alternative healing techniques but also because I used the approach of body, mind and spirit healing, where the spirit gives us faith, mind gives us positivity and the body follows the instructions that it receives. I have been the Asst Editor of Life Positive magazine and trained people, both children and adults in spoken and written English. All through my journey, I have realized how powerful writing is to convey messages of who we are. Now, six books of mine have been published. These comprise of two books for children; a collection of short stories on religion and an adventure story published by Rupa & Co. A book of Teaching Stories published by Life Positive in 2008. More Teaching Stories published in 2011, Elixir for Zylake, a childrens’ book published by Life Positive in December 2013 and Dancing with Life published by Hay House in 2015. I have also self-published a novel on Kindle recently. The novel is all about the quest of identity interwoven in the loves and lives of three generations of people in India and Afghanistan. The story conveys the emotions of people in the pre-independence era when Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan and Mahatma Gandhi were pretty active in spreading their message of non-violence. It shows how common people were affected both by physical violence and non-inclusion in their own land. Some pre-Independence violence and disharmony is conveyed while even the current terrorism and intolerance is brought out with the end ending on a note of hope and love. The primary message that the novel seeks to convey is the commonality of all people and their emotions and a search that all of us have for our own roots and identity. The novel ultimately brings out the fact that humanity is indeed one and our identity, no matter what the origin may be, is one of oneness, unity and love.
